Week 1 : 2nd - 6th of December 2002

This week began with setting up the workshop and constructing the strongback for the windward hull. The temporary mould frames made using MDF where copied from the full sized plots, cut out and set up on the strongback. The frames were then carefully leveled using a dumpy level.

Since the materials have not yet arrived we have erected another strongback and traced-cutout-set up the leeward hull temporary mould frames as well. This is usually not necessary as the leeward hull can use the same strongback when the windward hull is finished (or vice versa).

With fingers crossed - the materials will arrive early next week so we can begin the strip planking in earnest.
