Week 7: Monday 13th Jan - Friday 17th Jan 2003

This week we were mainly involved with joining the cabins to the hull and building the beam boxes. On Monday we sanded, bogged, glassed the outside surface of the second cabin. The inside was glassed so that on Wednesday we were ready to assemble the cabins and bridgedecks to the hulls. After careful levelling and measuring the seams were filleted and taped. The cockpit seat was also glassed which by end of work Friday we had cut out and resting in place.

During the cabin assembly we were also building the beams. These are basically boxes fabricated from the strip planked and glassed sides and tops we had previously made.

Hours: 90 (501.5 in total)
