Plans and full size plots are sent electronically. The instructional sheets are A3 format and the plots are full size dxf files. These can be taken to your local copy shop or drafting office for plotting on paper or can be used to cut your mould frames by CNC machine. Paper plans are available by airmail for an extra fee of A$250. How do I transfer money to pay
for my plans ? **We do not supply study plans as there is adequate building information and photos on this site. Any further questions: contact Rob Goodwill fee. Because harryproas are a brand new boat type, and few have had the chance to sail them, we would like to encourage owners to take people sailing. Anyone who does this for someone who subsequently buys a set of plans will recieve 10% of the plans price. In the event of 2 or more owners taking someone sailing, the 10% will be split according to my best judgement. This will be final, no appeals nor ill feeling are allowed. The 10% comes directly out of my pocket, and I reserve the right to curtail it at any time, with due notice. It is a goodwill thing, to encourage owners to take people sailing, not a means to pay for your boat. This does not excuse potential customers from the customary obligation to supply lunch and beer/wine/whatever for the owner and his crew! Rob |

Rob sources materials from competitive Aussie suppliers. He will happily pass on to you the savings and supply these materials at cost. You can purchase the materials to build the Visionarry hulls, boom, beams and walkway. It is very difficult to quote a precise price for the materials for a Visionarry to sailing stage as there are too many variables to be decided upon by the owner, in particular steering, hatches and windows. So please contact Rob to discuss details. Following are the materials required to build the Visionarry hulls, boom, beams and walkway. I am happy to provide the other materials at my cost, but we would need to discuss exactly what you required. The same applies to the sails, paint and the internal fit out. We can also supply materials to any stage of construction, or for particular parts (price on application). The Visionarry Materials Kit contains:
These amounts include 5% extra glass for overlaps, wastage etc. Wastage of the resin, kiri, ply and foam differ between individuals. If you only want one freight bill, I would advise an extra couple of sheets of foam and ply, and maybe 10% extra on the kiri. Prices will not include tax (GST 10% in Australia) for exports, (check your local rates) or freight. Freight rates vary between countries and companies. We can arrange freight, but you are probably better off talking to a local freighter. Ask him for a price ex Perth Western Australia, metro, delivered to your shed. The weight of the above consignment would be approx. 1400 kgs/3080 lbs. Visionarry Materials list and some advice if you want to source the materials yourself :
The quantities are based on the areas of the various components, and are as accurate as I can get them. You will need more than this, but how much more will depend on your attitude. I would suggest the following if you are getting material freighted to you: Foam: Wastage is minimal if you are prepared to glue together offcuts. This is structurally OK. Maybe order an extra sheet or 2 to minimise freight. Ply: 6 x 6mm, 3 x 9mm Cedar: Allow 10% for wastage, scarphs and knots. Glass: Order the neareast roll size, + 10 % wastage, but ensure that you will get the roll price for smaller amounts ordered later. Epoxy: 200 litre drums are cheapest, but should not be tapped
directly for day to day use, as sooner or later, someone will leave the
tap open. Ideally, get the supplier to supply it in smaller containers,
at the drum price, or tap it off yourself. Do not leave the tap open and
unattended, ever! Arrange to get future smaller amounts at the drum price,
if you can.
