Desperado II
This blog will follow the construction of an extended Elementarry, the predecessor to the E25. I put my main project on hold last year (painful!) to pursue a telescoping mast design, starting with a smaller prototype to test its feasibility. The rig will feature a single sail on a three-section D-shaped mast. Unlike a schooner rig, the rudder location is more critical for the shunting, so I’ll also test rudder design and construction methods.
